The Seniors' Services Directory
The Seniors' Services Directory contains over 500 listings of seniors’ services laid out in a user-friendly format and is the ‘go-to’ guide for seniors, their families, and healthcare professionals working with seniors.
Volunteers provide social support, encouragement and connections to other community resources. Return to Health volunteers receive specialized training in seniors' issues, stressing good communication skills and familiarity with the ageing process.
Specially trained Volunteer Referral Agents with expertise in seniors' issues and knowledge of local services provide a referral to all of the non-medical emergency resources available in the region and support for everyday problems.
Volunteer knitters meet once a month to share patterns, sort through yarn and bring in items newly made. Sweaters, mittens, hats and blankets are catalogued and stored until Christmas, when the group presents the gift to the children at the Cridge Centre for the Family.
Our “Seniors Link Phone Line” is open Monday to Friday 9 am – 4 pm where Charlotte, Gwen, Wendy or Vicki will return your calls promptly! Please feel free to phone us at 250-413-3211 or send an email to sl@sssbc.org
The health and safety of our patients, volunteers, and staff is the utmost priority for us at Seniors Serving Seniors. In light of the current developments regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we want you to know that we are carefully monitoring the situation and continually checking with the local health authorities and the BC Centre for Disease Control for updates and other pertinent information. Seniors Are Grateful For Your Support
Seniors Serving Seniors is relying on partners, funders, supporters, volunteers, and members in providing exemplary services to the Greater Victoria community. As a not-for-profit organization, we have to rely on goodwill and the human touch. Seniors in need say THANK YOU for your generosity!

Do You Want To Be Listed
On Our Service Provider Database?
If you are a housecleaner, cook, gardener, handyman, etc. and enjoy working with seniors, please consider listing your services in our database. Seniors Serving Seniors receives over 1,000 calls and emails from elders in the Greater Victoria area each year who are seeking services at home. We ask you to submit your resume and three letters of reference to sl@sssbc.org. Once you are approved our organization will require a current Information Check for the Vulnerable Sector to be done, which can be obtained online with your Police Department.
